Description EVERYBODY LOVES KAWAII CUPCAKES!!
...stupid cupcakes... and lolipopes.

Yeah, the green thing is a Malboro ΓΌberking :> but a young one, so he doesn't have mustasch yet. (As most of you know, they're from the Final Fantasy series :> I've become a bit of a geek about it.)

I was a bit skeptical towards making the basic lineart with pink, but it worked quite well and it didn't make the colors as numb as it used to with pale gray.

LOL, if you steal it I'll have to kill you with those cupcakes.

Tiem:: ~9 hours
Paper:: Canson illustration paper 250g/m2 A4 format.
Materials:: Watercolors, brushes, Copic markers, gel pens, Stabilo pens and some random things fer linearting.

do you have any idea how to do the airbrush technique on copics?
i'm wondering how the other Japanese artists use their copics with some kind of airbrush effect/blurry. do you got any ideas?

Airbrush technique?
I think I've heard rumors of a copic air brush sometime, but I'm not sure if that's true. It's like an air brush that you fill with marker refill bottles or something, of course super expensive!
But I've also seen people who paint with the refill bottles, and make a really smooth effect with that. I guess you can find more of that in tutorials maybe?

i guess it's all on techniques. well, thanks for the info anyways,
i'll just have to try out some other mediums to get that kind of effects

Pastels usually work pretty well if you shave off some dust with a knife and smudge it with a tissue (leaving some of the dust unsmudged for the spray-like texture) you can add some water to it with a big, soft brush later to make it stick better to the paper

yeah that is right, but i will need a different kind of paper that will absorb a bit of liquid so the paper doesn't get wet.

It's usually a good idea to use heavier paper for everything
In general I use 180gsm minimum when using any wet media.
