While it might not have been the original intention, it looks like Vitani's Lion-Guard-Mark is glowing, as if she's using the power of the Guard to summon Nuka... which probably wouldn't surprise me at this point; I heard Kion used the Force used the Roar to make Pride Rock fly, so...

It never made any sense to me. I've only seen the pilot, and I lost interest, and it never feat. Kovu, nor did TLK2 feat. Kion as Simba's son. It never made any sense to me! Unless it was some kind of Disney's warped multiverse.

From what I've seen, the final episodes explain where Kion was during TLK2.
Of course, you could do what I do, just consider it an alternate timeline from the films

There were final episodes already? How long has it been? I don't mind spoilers, since I never cared for the Lion Guard too much, but what happened to Kion?
Actually, nevermind, I looked it up in TLK wiki. Pretty interesting, I guess.
I thought Kion was like a betrayal who knew the original material, such as me w/ the 2 films. But since it took place before and after SP, I guess it's not too bad. Still, I'll consider it the least compared to the other material.

I used to feel the same way when they introduced Ashoka Tano into the Clone Wars series. Her existence didn't fit with the narrative of the live action Star Wars films...at first.
As I watched the story unfold however, the creators made her fit seemlessly in between episodes II and III.
As for the TLK mythos, it's pretty mixed up with all the extra-canonical stuff from the 90's, and now the Lion Guard being added to the mix. I guess that's why some fans make their own headcanon rather than going exactly by the stuff that Disney puts out.

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel too; I hope Disney's not ignoring the original lore, rather than work around it. In case you didn't notice, I've actually did the same thing w/ the F-Zero series in which Nintendo failed to do. If you're interested, feel free. That's kind of how I feel w/ all lore nowadays, though...

Though Vitani looks rather frightening and Kovu looks rather frightened here, I imagine this was all done as a way to get in final words and moments to their deceased brother, to inform him of what's been going on and to reassure him about their future. Considering Nuka is fiery implies he's in the same afterlife as Scar is, so he may not be as happy as they would like him to be about what happened when he died, though I'm curious is Zira is already there with him and has already filled him in on it. Or maybe she isn't and Kovu and Vitani learn firsthand that there mother might still be out there. Cool picture and premise BTW.
