Ok people here's the deal, i've decided that i want to do a sequel to this picture - but i thought it would be more fun if the viewers decided Zira's fate, so it's up to you guys to vote - should she be sent straight to hell? Yeah, you could call it cheating since the Heaven picture wasn't actually in response to this vote, but rather another idea i had. But it would have turned out like this anyway, so i guess there's not much difference

The reason:
She is such a strong lioness and HELL, KOPAS DEATH WAS A FANFICTION not canon. She did evil things, but Kovu, Simba etc. have done them too. End she is a MOTHERFUCKING LION, they kill each other, it's totally normal.

Not in the TLK world. In nature, it's normal, but in the Disney universe they're more humanized and have established morals. Killing another lion for any reason other than self defense is treated in their world as it's treated in ours. Zira was guilty of brainwashing/abusing her children and attempting to kill the royal family. Ignoring the Kopa fan theory of course. That falls under both treason and cold blooded attempted murder of an entire pride. Kovu was brainwashed and Simba didn't do anything evil...so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

I don't really like Simba:'D I think that's the reason. But there is one lion in this universe worse then Simba: His father Mufasa. IT'S NOT OKAY SCAR KILLED HIM, but he was like:"All animals are good animals." *Two hours later* "What??? Holy SHIT! HYENAS!" :/
I always try to find things that make Simba look evil, just because I love Scar and Zira. I have bad morals, I know. But there is something in me that makes me love the villains.

Watch Lion Guard. That show has multiple examples of Simba being a jerk plus it has great hyena characters in it! Sadly no Shenzi Banzai and Ed though.

Mufasa kept the hyenas away because the Pridelands had a delicate balance, as he said in the film. Certain animals are not allowed in the territory due to this balance, hyenas are one of them. We saw what happened when hyenas were introduced into the Pridelands when Scar took over, having to feed a new group of carnivores caused the balance to shift, the land was destroyed and it nearly starved everyone to death, including the hyenas themselves. Hyenas being kept outside the border was more necessary for everyone than it was personal or hypocritical. So yeah...Mufasa wasn't evil either. He was the hero in fact, along with Simba. :/

He still could've found a way to keep the hyenas from starving in the Outlands. Maybe find a way to make peace with them that way Scar wouldn't have been able to manipulate them the way he did.

Creatures that exist outside of his territory are none of Mufasa's concern or priority unless they pose a threat, he's too busy looking after his own land and members. Hyena clans can reach up to 100 members, it's unrealistic to expect Mufasa to make sure they're all fed as well as his own pride and subjects. Especially since they're not native to the Pridelands, nor do they respect it all.Β
The hyenas could have moved elsewhere to find more food, Africa is a very large continent, but they stayed in the graveyard instead and committed murderous treason. They didn't respect the boundaries that were necessary to keep everything in order, that's their own fault. Scar's manipulation of the hyenas was clearly years in the making, they probably could have moved to a better land if Scar didn't keep them under his thumb.Β

She should go to heaven. She thought that she would live a happy life as a queen with her king and cubs. And there are a lot of stories about her past and how she spent time with Scar. Maybe he changed her.
Simba didn't kill Scar. The hyenas did. But Silva dis push him off the cliff and what if Zira and Nuka watched. Maybe that's why Nuka is kinda messed up.
Zira later on got a little crazy. Her lover died and she was exiled and forced to live in the nasty dirty termite infested outlands with no food and no water. She also got more messed up when Nuka died and Kovu turned on her.
And I think she was mentally unstable as a cub. Where did she get that cut on her ear and trained to be a killer. She was probably abused...

I say save her. She was pining badly for Scar, that's why she acted how she did. [But to be fair, she over reacted quite a bit]. I mean, technically Scar should've been king. He was Mufasas brother after all. And Simba did kill him. They could've just reasoned! Or Simba could've just given Scar what he rightfully deserved!Β

Simba didn't kill him though, he just flung him over the cliff in self defense and then the hyenas ate him. He couldn't reason with her, she was bat shit crazy and stubborn as hell.Β

Despite all the things she is, Zira is one of my favorite TLK characters. Zira, Nuka, and Scar are my tops. Of course I always had a love for villains.

Everybody presumes she acts the way she does just because she's an evil bitch but behind every personality is a story of why they are the way they are. No matter what people do in their lives they always deserve saving because if there is the right, kind and caring person out there to help you can turn their lives around and make them a better person.
So save her..

Of course she had tried to kill Simba, he is responsible of her mate's death. She was harsh with her children, but she had teach them how to survive in the horrible land they were banished in. The ban was also Simba's doing. Zira and her children, which have nothing to do with the way Scar has ruled, were outcasted from their homeland and condemned to die in exil just because of the fact Scar was one of their relatives. But Simba and Sarabi, which also were Scar's relatives, weren't outcasted. Where's the justice ? She has the right to be angry. Moreover as Simba has almost no legitimity as king : he had fled the kingdom, abandoned the throne, so someone must assume the power, and that's what Scar has did. And then he cames back, claiming he was the rightful king (which wasn't true : he had abandoned the throne, he has no right over it). He accused Scar of having badly reigned, but he's the one who had let him became king. He accused Scar of having killed his predecessor in order to become king, and Simba does exactly the same thing. He has no legitimity.
Talking about Scar, his reign wasn't so bad. During Mufasa's reign, there was an apartheid regim : hyenas were forced to lived in a dark, deserted world, sort of a ghetto, just because they were different. And Mufasa says it to Simba : it's the king's duty to make sure this inferior race stays out of the kingdom. There was also a very undemocratic system : the lions rules. They were sort of aristocrats, and others species just have to obey because "it's the circle of life". Circle of life which doesn't include hyenas, of course. Scar put an end to this : he allowed the hyenas to enter the kingdom and create an equality between them and the lions. The hyenas were more numerous, so, democratically, they were within their rights. Under Scar's reign, herds have fled. Because of what ? Because he had tried to feed the lowest class (hyenas) ! Scar has put an end to a racist apartheid system, has granted rights to the "inferior race", has given food to the poors... This isn't a bad reign after all, at least not so bad.
So, I vote for saving Zira.

So... you believe that it's ok to kill someone just to get something that you want?? Scar took the throne which was Simba's birth right by force, he murdered the king and then drove Simba away. Simba was only a child, as if he could understand his responsibility at that age, so he didn't abandon the throne, he was exiled by a member of his own family. I think you're giving Scar a little too much sympathy here.
Plus it was the hyenas that killed Scar, remember? they ate him. Simba was merciful enough to let Scar go despite his betrayal, but Scar was too proud and greedy to step down, and he attacked, so in self defence; Simba tossed Scar over the cliff.

I'm trying to see the situation as Zira's point of view. And she seems to be totally unaware on the fact Scar has been killed by the hyenas and not by Simba, or about the way Scar became king (well, she must know about the fact he killed Mufasa, because everyone is aware of it in the second movie).
