Personality:
Strong as a bull and stubborn as a mule – this describes some of his dominant characteristics quite well, though he’s anything but a narrow-minded, violent person. He treats others with respect and shows compassion to those who deserve it, not liking to waste his energy and time on fights. Despite being quite hearty once he has opened up to a person, he’s not very familiar with the concept of romantic love and might react tactless.

He stands firm to his own opinion and beliefs, but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible to make him see from someone else’s point of view. Due to his upbringing, he can seem stingy and cautious at times, though he’s easy to please and it’s unlikely to run into unnecessary trouble with him. However, with his whole life still ahead of him he’s tempted to try something risky from time to time.

Though it’s not that obvious, he’s quite sensitive concerning certain topics and his attitude can suddenly change from gentle to cynical and cold. He’s the type to treat a source of irritation with disdain and harshness, brooding in silence before exploding like a volcano.

Biography:
Though born into a slightly wealthier middle class family, Caleb and his younger siblings weren’t overly pampered. Since their parents used to live in poverty as children and only rose to wealth through hard work, they were taught to value even the small things and lead a moral life. As the oldest son, Caleb was supposed to learn the goldsmith’s art from his father and take over the family business one day. It wasn’t exactly what he wanted, but he complied as it was for his parents’ sake and family had always been his first priority.

Starting in his teen’s, his eyesight gradually became worse and no doctor was able to find a cure to his illness. Devastated, Caleb withdrew from social activities and moped in his room for quite some time with occasional angry outbursts. But he wouldn’t be a true Taurus if he didn’t get back on his feet, albeit he had to thank his family for supporting him, literally dragging him out of his shell and slapping some sense into him. Step by step, he learned to live without proper eyesight and his other senses sharpened with time to replace his eyes’ function. With his talent at handling money and an iron will, he managed to successfully absolve an apprenticeship as a merchant.

Once he came of age and decided to leave home to experience more of the world, his parents gave him a pet ara which was specifically bred to help handicapped people like him as a goodbye gift. Since then he’s never seen without his bird companion Lente, who acted as his eyes when necessary. On one of his early journeys, he heard about the forbidden dark arts of necromancy and it somehow steered his interest. Ever since his eyes became useless, he had started to hear voices and feel the presence of beings that weren’t visibly there. Anyone (including his own family) he had told about those incidences only gave him weird looks or told him not to make such creepy jokes. It was never his wish to do harm or bring misfortune upon others, but maybe this was his destined path that he had been searching for.

Additional Information:
The most he can see are colored but very blurry images, that’s why he prefers to rely on his other senses (especially his ears and sense of smell).
He’s based on a banteng.
Don’t be fooled by his near-blindness and never try to outwit him during a bargain. It can’t end well.
His necromancer staff is about the size of a blind man’s stick and might doubles as such.

Skill/Spell Set:

Black Windcutter (active): Summons razor-sharp feathers which strike the opponent with high speed. The direction can’t be changed and a few seconds are required before another attack can be initiated.

Peek-a-Boo (passive): Allows to detect spirits of the deceased, anything hidden by weak to medium leveled magic and traps. Only works in a given radius of 30ft (about 9m) for five minutes before the user needs to rest, an over usage will cause physical pain.
