Description So, yesterday a Photoshop error killed both an almost done jungle landscape painiting and my page 4 of LaF...
So I grabbed a previous wip, and worked on it as I planned on how to redo my LaF page, which was going to be a comic page but will turn into Illustrated Lit now (in my pictures, detailed vegetation usually means plotting). Full view please! It has some mistakes, but I'm still quite happy with this painting ^^. And yeah, it was big part a practise fo how to paint undergrowth.Took 4 hours or so to complete (had some previous work).

****************
ATTENTION, READERS:
As for Page 4 of LaF, I only could retrieve the scribbled page and some dialogues (I back up filles emailing them to myself from time to time)... but at least yesterday's frustration did a good job fueling my urge to get to fully work on my Semifinals round again. not only in the next two pages, but in posterior ones as well.
So for those reading LaF, please watch my scraps, as page 4 will go there.
Page 5, probably will go to to my main gallery, and be full color as usual ^^

This has that feel of restorations of extinct animals and plants instilling life into what has passed as if they were magic world we could cross over into in the present. Delightfully and atmospherically rendered.

Aww, mil gracias Ran!

Oh my goodness this is gorgeous, Loba! I thought it was a photo from the thumbnail! Your brush strokes are all very sensitive and perfect for the plants they represent. Even the leaf litter is really well rendered. This makes me want to learn landscapes, so beautiful (((:

Whoah! That amount of detail..! Stunning!!!
When you say detailed vegetation, you really mean detailed. I love those tiny leaves in all the bushes.
Some years ago I tried to draw things like that myself, but they always ended up looking messy and nothing else... But unlike me, you pulled that off well, like you always do! ^^

Thank you a ton for the compliments, dear!! I want to do a... not exactly a tutorial (I find tutorials too restrictive, when there are millions of ways to do landscapes), but give some tips, to at least share my technique ^^ I'm extremely glad that they come out well together!
(and, your landscapes and bgs are amazing IMO C; )

You are welcome
I'd love to see how you do your landscapes.

Aww, thank you! I always feel that the drawings without a background are incomplete. And I really enjoy drawing scenery. ^^
