We end the roster of the Justice League's second formation with the missing queen of Wakanda, Mar'i McCabePortrayed by: Lesley-Ann Brandt
Story: Born as the princess of the hidden country of Wakanda at Africa, Mar'i was separated from her family during an invasion by the forces of M'Baku, the Wakanda military general and one of it's greatest warrior, calling himself the Man-Ape, attacking the royal family. Trying to protect his daughter, her mother N'Yami gave her daughter to one of the Dora Milaje as to escape the countrty and to keep her daughter safe from M'Baku. Mar'i was left by the Dora Milaje on a foster home along with a weird totem that was owned by her family.
She would live most of her life trying to know what happened to her mother and the people of Wakanda, up until her mid 20s were she was attacked by some of M'Baku's soldiers that had followed her back to America, luckily, Mar'i was given as she was escaping Wakanda an special totem that had belonged to the royal family for years, the Tantu Totem, believed created by the African trickster god Anasi the spider that allowed it's user to gain the abilitties of any animal being.
As Mar'i got rid of M'Baku's soldiers, she decided to return to Wakanda to figure out what had happened. Unluckily, she realized that not only her country had become into a dictatorship, but that her mother had been killed by M'Baku. Mar'i would decide to take care herself of M'Baku, using the Tantu Totem along with the suit that belonged to her family and was once used by her brother, the prior king of Wakanda T'Challa.
She would fight M'Baku and ultimately detrone him, taking her rightful place as the Queen of Wakanda and returning the country to it's previous state of glory. As the years passed, Mar'i would ultimately leave again to represent Wakanda as a member of the new Justice League, as the Black Panther.

I once again would like to apologize for that shameful, embarassing time of my life when I used "man-ape" as a racist slur against native Latinos.
As I said before, it was a difficult time in my life, and I was lashing out at people who frankly didn't deserve it.
I regret everything I said back then. Native Latinos are smart, wonderful people, and I should have been more respectful towards them.
So, I just want to say...I'm sorry.
