Sketch commission for xRedwingEvery sketch commission done during my nautical journey will have a little special story
This one I did in between fixing instruments on the sailboat while docking in Las Palmas. We are stationing there for a month and trust me, so far it's been only 5 sunny and warm days! I took a break from cleaning/fixing because accidentally I spilled glass of wine (grrrr), then went to make an avocado salad and lemonade, took paper&pencil, went on forepeak dock and there, I focused on drawing xRedwing 's character for hours.... and got nice sunburn on back!
And I love watching dancing masts. Boats are alive beasts.Β
Oh and I am not sure if better idea is to take a photo with background like that or just simply scan... let me know how should I post it

i actually like seeing the image like this. the background makes for an interesting composition, and i really like the way the light shines through the paper. it sort of gives a sort of extra lighting to the image that feels really unique.

I love the photo with backgroundΒ like this!! It is very personal-feeling.. Authenticity; the piece is being held in a moment of time, where no one else's commission can be. That's super personal and touching, in my eyes

I can't handle anything smaller than a cruise ship unfortunately, I get seasick easily :T I take Bonine pills which help but I don't know if they'd be good enough for smaller ships. Maybe someday
