Argh! I was supposed to submit it in Sunday on her birthday, but I was out from my home for ALL day and got back REALLy late. I tried to post it on that day but my internet was all NUUUU at midnight so thats why.. I ended posting today, a day after bday 8|ANYWAY.
That's a long awaited gift for really lovely *AlectorFencer and as well for ~KebiJackal
On this picture, I put really much effort. It's not just a picture.. just a simply gift or just done for b-day occassion. It was build for many days and months, exactly as how much we were building our friendship. I really adore Alector as a friend. We both have a lot in common, we share a lot and have supported a lot each when we had really hard times.
Also it's so awesome of both her and her sweetheart Kebi for inviting me to Germany and etc. so that's why.. this picture has more special meaning. You'll know ; )
Actually I did a little sad story for this illustration of a Jackal and ghostly beast known as Plant Spirit. This picture shows of wanderer who came to stop and behind him a plant spirit is summoned... but somehow I'm not going to write >___>
Nao onto technical infos:
I used so many various medium. Porlecain paper, watercolors, markers, colored pencils and o'course my beloved alcohols. And YEAH I made a blur effect TRADITIONALLY. I'm so happy of outcome because the rocks are literally blurred like how you do digitally.
I tried to make a nice texture by pencils... I think it worked somehow? XD
But anyway, I hope you'll enjoy of this weird picture etc.
Yes I love weird pictures. Oh yes, I want to see those rocks in real.

Well, jesus christ riding a pencil, this is awesome. I love the antrho-ness - it's so nifty to see you draw anthro! And blurry rocks are fun, oh yes they are. Kudos to you for being traditional about it. >D

I really like the use of color in this, and the tree spirit is a beautiful idea. I like the rocks too, because I can see many different colors in them that make them look really interesting.
I'm sure your friend will like it, it's a beautiful piece.

But my point IS that this came out SO WELL. Gah you probably used every medium under the SUN. I LOVE looking at this and going 'ooh pencils!' 'ooh water colors!' 'ooh magic!' maaaagic. The fur is so pretty and has SO MANY COLORS and there are so many textures and shinies and arghhhh I love how you do thinggsss. How big is this irl? And aumgh Plant Spirit is so epically fantastic in your Pearlstyle arghhh I can't take it. AMAZING job I can tell how much love you poured into this <3

oh forgot to add, thank you for compliments! <3 I just put.. really my best effort on that style. Personally I love how it turned but.. I wished it could be better. Or.. I'm not happy with this at all? I dunno. I have mixed feelings .__.

Because. First of all that SO EXPENSIVE shit. I bought it begin damn excited and opened. Nice box but such lame cheap-made-in-china gold box. Opened pandora's box (lolol in game you become immortal and gain awesome power) and I went WTF. The artbook is NOTHING but a VERY LITTLE cheap quality booklet. Just looks like instruction booklet. No hardcover like in FF they offer, FEW pages, VERY little and all art is full and complete which.. I can find on the internet. It's not like Crisis Core one where is beautifuly made and there were AMAZING SECRETIVE CONCEPT ARTS.
All GoW soundtracks, not epically packed. Just CD's. Ugh music of it I can just listen on youtube or download XD. ANd three postcards, kinda nice but useless really.
And for extra stuff like special skins for Kratos, events and a movie how they were making GoW (thats WHAT I REALLY WANTED TO SEE!).. you need to download via PS Store. DAMMIT. In Pandora's Box those extra matierials SHOULD BE READY, because like there are some people who dont have wifi or there are a lot who have problems with connecting internet to PS3. LIKE ME. MY DAMMIT PS3 refuses to connect, so my friend who knows well on computers told me "sooo, you'd need to change whole your internet hoster and router" so THATS EXTRA LOTS OF MONEY!
Ughh. I hate that. BUT, I'm HAPPY begin able to play dammit GoW II. Since for UNKNOWN reason my PS2 HATESHATESHATES GoW II.

Prisma color pencils are your best friends, They are an oil based pencil and blend in together so you can get that blurry blended effect.

It took me ages to say something about this so here is my message and it shall explain everything I feel about it. You probably will get a lot of hugs and kisses once I see this in real life but...

Really, when I saw the thumbnail at the front page, I immediately recognized your style and at the second glance, I thought about the Plant Spirit. When I enlarged the image, I looked at the spirit as first and THEN saw Kebi and it absolutely threw me back in thoughts to when I had my first MMC and we both built up our little honey basar in the castle yard and enjoyed the sun.
This image though contains so much emotion and spirituality, I can feel a summer breeze and a glance of adventure when looking at it. The story you gave behind this image means so much more than what I jus wrote. It really feels like we are one, together, a soul that wanders and we get summoned whenever we rest.
The colours are really awesome, too. You know how to work with complementary contrasts and how to set them beautifully. The reds and greens absolutely go well together. Also, the blurred effect you gave the rocks in the background are really something special and let the characters poke out even more. You are getting more and more awesome.
Your pseudo handwriting/language is a really sweet idea as well
I like the way you depicted Kebi's anthro form. The jackal is more visible than the humanoid aspects and it somehow makes your style mor eunique. I rarely see anthros this way so I must say, keep that up. It's really cool.
Just a little side note, Kebi's left hand contains a wrong thumb. It should be on the inside. xD
This picture definitely gets a selfmade frame!!!
I so love it, it's one of the most awesome presents I have ever got for my Birthday.
The background story is so wonderful - it gives me such a warm and wonderful feeling.
Oh and don't worry because I've been so inactive lately, The most recent picture had to be done. I will pobably be back on Friday, chattin' with you again!

Everything seems to flow together so naturally in this piece of art. Alone you could think that some of the components would never fit together but they way to arranged and blended everything together makes everything seem as if it has a specific and important place.
We can tell you put alot of effort into this piece! Also, I love the mood you created, a little playful, a little peaceful, but a little bit of sorrow/danger hidden in the background that has been or will soon return but will be easily handled as long as they are all together.
