Meh, opposites attract. They're polar opposites, but they share the bond of art, even if they disagree with the other's viewpoint.

Deidara calls Sasori 'Danna' which is Japanese for either master (what it's meant to be in the anime) OR husband (LAWL XD), and he respects Sasori very much. Deidara is NOT nice to just anyone. He's an utter asshole to everyone EXCEPT Sasori (and Pein, who he must show respect to) and he still messes with Sasori's head XD

Andddd. Deidara's the only one who's seen Sasori out of his puppet body, ever since he left Sunagakure. He trusts Deidara a lot, and has saved him on many occasions.

It. Does. Make. Sense. D: Even if ya don't like yaoi (which I didn't by the way, before discovering this pairing) it makes sense. >_<

to me it doesn't because deidara also calls kisame danna. and he also shows him respect.
and if anything, hes been more friendly to kisame than sasori (i.e. the omake w/ them talking about itachi)

and on to deidara's strong view on art. he believes sasori's puppet show is stupid. (quote) and he hates the idea of true art being "everlasting". which sasori actually is the very thing that he hates. an everlasting peice of art.

and in the actual anime with no biases, it would be a good bet to say deidara would most likely think of sasori, who is an everlasting puppet, as like a gross reck or something.

just being as honest and un-biased as possible. hope we don't start a flame war.

btw i don't hate yaoi.

Kisame seems to be the person he's second-closest with. He also respects Kisame, and calls him Danna as well, as he's a senior member of the Akatsuki. Sasori and Kisame both brought him into the organization. He doesn't call anyone else 'Danna' from my knowledge.

Yes, Deidara hates Sasori's view on art, but I think that's all he hates. Deidara seems more open-minded and willing to accept than Sasori, though he'll always hold his art higher than the rest. He has a one-sided rivalry with Itachi as well, because he considers the Sharingan art after he was beaten by it, which explains why he tried so hard to defeat Itachi - he doesn't want anyone's art to overpower his.

Deidara even says he respects Sasori's view, he's just against it. He couldn't believe it when he found out one of the people he actually respected, one of the people he rivaled, was defeated. He also didn't want Sasori to die the second time, as he was objecting to everything Kankuro was saying, telling Sasori not to believe it. (I can't wait to see that in anime by the way, though it'll be sad D

If I were to be completely unbiased, I'd say Deidara holds unrequited feelings for Sasori (ranging from mere respect to possible love), or they actually DO get along quite well as close friends, holding respect for each other.

SasoDei was the first anime pairing I ever actually liked so much as to give it a second glance, and I don't even know how it started. XD I had never even considered yaoi or anything beforehand, didn't even know what it was, and then I discovered there was a HUGE fanbase for it... XD

i can imagine them to be friends, but not lovers. (does sasori even have anything down there?)

after all deidara didn't seem to scrambled after he figured out sasori died the first time.

sasodei is not a bad pairing, i just have always had a knack for pairing my favourite female and male characters.(even if they have never met once and it makes almost no sense *cough*cough*sasohina*cough*)

Love isn't always about the sex, but honestly I have NO idea what he has down there, lmfao. XD Good question, but definitely something I'd never ask Kishimoto...

I just like the idea of them being close, they don't necessarily have to be lovers.

SasoHina would be cute, but when I think of pairings, I like to think about whether they make sense plot wise or not... but I suppose that's just how I am. XD As long as nobody's pairing SAKURA up with the Akatsuki, I'm fine.
