I loved the fact that Ron Perlman did Slade's voice. ON TOP OF THAT, He went on to voice ANOTHER character named Slade in the Turok game that was released for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Ron Perlman is such a badass.

When you watched the show, you were likely too young to remember actors' names. That is just my assumption.Β
I think personally, if you want an evil antagonist for anything, have Ron Perlman voice their characters. He has one of the BEST villain/monster voices.Β

*Nag* You know, Slade actually did take on Batman head-on and won, until someone decided to pull a cheap move and beat him to a pulp. Then, he took on the entire Justice Leage and beat them to a pulp.

Even using his real name to make fun of the Titans for not calling himself Deathstroke. I know it was a production decision (since Deathstroke seemed too bloody for a "child's program"), but in their face, that'll be like he's trolling them by treating them as kids.

I actually prefer the use of his real name over the Deathstroke moniker, when your a badss you don't need to hide behind an alterego. Slade always sounds more threatening than Deathstroke, death stroke implies that you can kill not that you have Slade implies that he has killed and will kill.Β

He is my favorite villain within the entire show. I love the comedic effects the other villains deliver to the audience - otherwise the show wouldn't be what it was. But Slade is just pure evil - the word evil doesn't describe how malicious and psychotic he is. He's even more terrifying and threatening than the Joker and Bane combined to me. I could go on and on about Slade, but I'll just cut it down to this: Robin is probably the bravest bastard to face this guy and survive.

Back when the Teen Titans came out, I never a lot of comic books because I was no where near a book store of any kind, and I always wondered WHO Slade was. Now I do. Slade makes Lex Luther so last season.
