Just a few of my really, really terrible sketches from lately.And no, I'm not fishing for compliments... they really are terrible XD I need to stop trying to draw when I'm exhausted. The more lines/the darker something is, the more tired I was. I always overwork things when I'm tired.
I've turned an entire page black and used up a brand new pen before... more than once...

If you say so...?Β I think you capture movement very well and capitalize on s- and c-curves for pleasing poses.Β I could understand the feeling of overworking, especially when sketching, but that stage is the best to do it.Β Because it's a stage where someone could decide if something works or not.Β Rather do that then than later when it can be a polished mess.

I love all your stuff, even the not-as-great-as-the-rest-of-it stuff. Β You always have movement and nice mass to your creature sketches.
I'm really interested in the 6-limbed guy that there's two sketches of. Β I want to know more about him.
I also end up drawing too dark sometimes, but that dark look is pretty cool for somethings!

I'd actually say that you need to draw while exhausted MORE! You have very creative stuff on these pages, and all of the pictures move and flow. Love this stuff!

Yeah but I didn't include the really bad ones, where I went over my lines "correcting" things so many times that the figure literally disappeared in a blob of critter shaped ink.Β Ugh.

I wish I could sketch so "terribly" x_x Though I totally get how you feel haha. Artist's envy here xD Sleepy doodles can be an interesting way to fish up concepts outside of what you normally do, in my experience :3

Yeaaaaah some of them were "sitting in the park with the kids while my butt falls asleep on a really hard park bench" doodles... though they didn't turn out any better thanthe sleepy ones ;}
