bad for the crane, good for me.
anyway, i saved a whole bunch of it's feathers, and the wing feathers in particular are great for painting on...
the others i used are turkey tail feathers, and those came from my uncle who's a big bird hunter. I got some canada goose feathers the same way!

that looks great, i love these kinds of things. xD seems like if I tried to paint it, the feathers would splay everywhere and i'd wreck it.

i spray 'em first with fixative or clear paint orrrr my background color paint :}
