Extract taken from voice-log #3122494, dated 21.4.2445:

"I think we've found it! It's exactly as the scriptures all described. Rocky and desolate, no sign of life, but when the two planets were above the sunset, the aurora could be seen! I never thought we'd be standing so close to our goal, but we must be. I can almost feel it.

We'll begin more research of the planet's surface for any signs of temples tomorrow. We're all tired after the journey here. From what I can see, one of the planets up there contains plant life and water. The land is green with blue waters. It looks like the pictures of how Earth once looked.

Which means, that's the legendary planet of He'van Kanas; sister planet of Ko'ji, the safehaven of the ancients.

I can feel it, we're close! We can do this!"

I'm struggling to type it's so late and I'm tired. Sami wants to go to bed, so I best keep this quick.

This is easily my best piece yet. It's absolutely fantastic. The aurora is the same one used in my recent screenshot, created in Apophysis and rendered in 6 minutes with the multithreading system.

The terrain is made in Vue, which I haven't used in so damn long.

Everything else is done in Photoshop, and has taken in excess of about 12 or so hours. Learned a hell of a lot from this too, a lot of new tricks and tips on starscapes and planets.

Anyhow, this pic is essentially When Angels Fall // Falling Stars version 3, hence why my journal says about 3. I knew I wanted to make this. I wanted to remake Angels with the new stuff I'd learned since I made the original. I'm so glad I did too.

So this is it. To commemorate 100 pageviews I present, Auroran Sunset.

And now, bed time.
