Yeah, Midnight is one of my favorite Dr. Who episodes. In my opinion, it really shows the irrationality, judgmental nature of humanity in a case of crisis. However, it also shows the bravery and love that humanity can muster.
And the way that Tennant manages to act so hard with just his facial expressions was amazing. He managed to convey the Doctor's utter frustration and fear, because he knows better than pretty much anybody that at heart, humans can be as cowardly and cruel as they can be kind. And he can't do a thing about it.

It was incredibly scary, but the look on the Doctor's face just is amazing. Every time I watch the scene it makes my heart beat fast. I just love it...probably because I love adrenaline rushes like that...being just a small one and all.
