UPD 2023: 2023 year is here too!
Also came up with some more description to it!
It's indeed been a journey so far.
I think, the first few years were the hardest ones, since I remember I used to be bullied for my newbie art and unwilling to listen to critique, which made me delete all my accs and change my nickname a few times.
I mean, I indeed was kinda cringy child way back then, and I'm really sorry to those kind people who tried to help but I didn't listen to them or just couldn't apply it, yet it wasn't a good excuse to make someone feel even worse just cause of these reasons.
I also remember how I tried to drop art a couple of times in period from 2012 to 2014. As you can see - no success, I became too addicted to drawing and painting to just give up that easily.
And honestly? It's really neat to see how much I've improved. I indeed could do it faster, but apparently I'm a slow-learner.
I still have a lot to learn. And I'm really looking forward where my skill will be in a few more years
And I hope that this thing might inspire at least someone just a lil bit.
UPD: 2022 now is added! It's more than decade already LOL
And some summary over decade, cause I found my old drawings.
It was a long way, and I kinda proud with myself? Ofc I could do better, but if me from 2010 saw my current art, probably they would think that I'm some kind of pro and wouldn't believe that it's them but 10 years later lmao

Я сам визжу с 10, но у меня в папке там есть не менее фееричные каракули, на некоторых из которых даже текст из каких-то русских песен написан, а на других тупо какие-то рандомные фразочки, с чего меня кринжит еще сильнее XD /а на какой-то рефе, там еще описание на кривом английском, и я даже не могу концепцию перса понять по этой причине ахахах/

I have doubts about realism tho, cause i've been trying painting realistic for a few years already /before I swtiched to line-art/, and just recently realised that it's totally not mine thing and I hate how a lot of details look on my paintings, and decided to do more stylized things (like style used for art for hearthstone for example) c:

Yeah, but some of recent pieces have a good realistic feel to them, so it's always nice to have that. Mine has a slight realistic feel but looks cartoony. Kinda looks old disney animations like lin king. But it's my personal style not a disney style

Yep, I see. I guess your realistic feeling cause of closer to realistic proportions, except faces which are more cartoon, and honestly I always liked such combo c: Like it's still stylization, but not too simplistic and exaggerated, like, it's balanced this way.

Yeah, I like how some ppl can get that realistic look but actually have the art be unique to them. I feel realistic art actually looks all the same lol so I try to accomplish realism while keeping my style and lineart

Yep! I don't see any reasons to try to replicate true real life, I see it around everyday and even if I want to catch it, I can use camera. If art gives opportunity to change smth to look more interesting, more unique and less grey, why not to use it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And it's a good goal btw! I saw some artists whose drawings closer to realistic art, but they are still unique and in their style, so it's very possible.

Yeah, I've seen that too. I like creativity, shoot even the WoF concepts are so bland to me because theres no creativity to the design and build of the dragons
