Description So this is an idea I've been sitting on for about a year.

Last summer when I finished up Sun Queen , I couldn't help notice that it looked like an old Celes fanart I did way back in 2005. And seeing as I've been revisiting a lot of my old ideas lately, it seemed like a pretty natural fit.

This definitely became a labor of love, because Final Fantasy VI has ALWAYS been one of my favorite games, in the series I consider it second only to FFIX and just barely so (In case you're wondering, I put the oh-so-worshiped VII somewhere in the middle of my list). I remember first getting that game when I was 11-- well, actually my BROTHER bought it for himself. Advantage to having an older brother: he was old enough to get a part-time job and buy video games my parents never would've bought us.

But I instantly fell in love with the game. Celes has always been one of my very favorite characters. I'm glad to have reached a point where I can really do her justice. And, you know, beautiful, shapely woman in a green leotard? Obviously I'd dig that! ^_^

Well, the green leotard is ONE version of her design. How she appeared in the game and how she was drawn in the official game art and the FMV scenes from the FF Anthology port that we otherwise DO NOT SPEAK OF (although Final Fantasy V was the REAL victim of FF Anthology's atrocities) are very different.

And honestly, I really like BOTH designs. When I was younger I definitely preferred this version, and was disappointed to see her fleshed out, CG version go with the other design. I used to think it was just because they were nervous about having her show a little leg. I've always hated censorship and bowdlerization above anything else, but when you're a teenage idiot you maybe have a little too much zeal. Now I just think they went with the Amano design because it fit the game's steampunk tone better.

But seeing as I DO enjoy both versions of her costume quite a bit, and the 2005 fanart I made showed both versions, I knew early on I wanted to do both versions this time as well, so be sure to check out the Amano version as well. There's quite a bit of contrast between the two, and I think together they make a really great set.

Both designs are great, each one. In this one I loved her boobs and legs.

Both drawings are really good and detailed. I like this one just a tiny bit more cause I like bright colors and the visible leg you mentioned (and cleavage.) FF6 is my fave real RPG (as opposed to SRPG, Point n' Click Adventure, etc different genres are hard to compare), and Celes is my favorite character in it. She looks happy, which is nice; so many fan works have her always grumpy, and make her into a Tsundere stereotype (which she is not.) Anyway, you did her justice in both drawings.
