So this is one I had almost finished a couple months ago. I had the girl drawn and most of the the background, I just couldn't get the lighting and shadow to look right.

There's a lot of conflicting light here. It's supposed to be in a dark house, where she passes in front of a window and her nude body is backlit and silhouetted, but her sheer nightgown becomes almost luminous while remaining see-through. At the same time, I have the candle where I have to put the lights in shadows in correctly AND still have a nice flame color.

But taking a break really helped. I didn't intend it to be this long, but once I looked at it with fresh eyes, I was able to crack it in a couple hours and now it's ready and uploaded. ^_^

October works better for this one anyway, the spooky tone is much more fitting for this time of year than summer when I was working on it.

As for the girl herself, this is another pose and look where I took inspiration from an old Playboy centerfold. This time August 1957.

Once again, it's a big inspiration for my quest here to help keep the tastefully sexy from disappearing. It seems like these day everything is one side Woke™ and sanitized, androgynous, and completely devoid of sexuality or even femininity. OR on the other side: the most depraved, explicit hardcore porn your Caligula brain could imagine.

NOTHING in between. Sexy video game women have been uglified. Models have been uglified. Swimsuit issues: gone. Sex and nudity in movies: gone.

I think this trend is finally running its course, though. I mean, there's a reason "get woke, go broke" is a thing. We weren't able to stop these activist types from taking over our favorite entertainment media, but they weren't able to get the public to buy the shit they're now selling. They're failing for the same reason most revolutions fail: once you've taken over, it's YOUR job to run it successfully. If you don't it's your ass.

And the skills required to be an activist and make demands of power are very different from the skills required to BE in power.
