This one took way longer than it should have. Not because there was anything particularly difficult about it, maybe I was just feeling a bit burnt out or something, because I had a hard time staying focused on it for more than half an hour or so at a time. After about a week or so of that, I finally got my drive back to put some real time into it.

I really like the idea of giving this one an evening setting, and it makes the "Match Point" title work, too. It's sunset, they're done playing for the day, the match is over. I haven't done a sunset in awhile, especially a sunset over the sea like this. Not since Sands of Costa del Sol , and that was ten years ago now.

Well, LAKE, actually. I did a local setting for this one, they're at Lake Michigan. Although aside from me straight-up SAYING that, there's really not much visually to indicate it. With that lighthouse, it could be mistaken for the northern east coast or something just as easily. The lighthouse is local, too. That's just a silhouette of the lighthouse and pier at Pere Marquette Beach about five miles that way (I'm pointing to my right, which from where I'm sitting is west... boy, that really doesn't work in written form, does it?).

Given it a home setting like this also made it easier for me to decide on the swimsuit design for one of the girls, which I was having a hard time coming up with. I'd just make her a Michigan State fan. Why not Michigan? Because FUCK MICHIGAN! They can burn for all eternity in a lake of boiling excrement in the most brutal and agonizing depths of HELL!!!!!!!

Look, I'm a Michigan State fan, and that rivalry is serious business around here. Like, it almost feels wrong to have that other girl in a BLUE bikini, even though it's the wrong shade of blue and there's no gold. Actually, the fact that it's any shade of blue other than U of M blue makes it the RIGHT shade of blue in a more moral sense. ^_^

Ford vs Chevy is a biggie around here, too, but I'm not really a car guy so I give very few fucks about that. Love football, though, and fall would SUCK if we only had the goddamn Lions to watch, so we LOVE our college ball around here. Since it'll be back to school time, soon, maybe I'll do something else with a Michigan State theme in a month or so. Stay tuned. GO GREEN!
