It's kinda suitable that this one wound up released later than the originally-intended date. Seems par for the course, these days. See, I'm not a procrastinator, I'm a VISIONARY! I saw the future and embraced it early!

Truth is, I had hard time getting my heart into this one because I couldn't get that way about the Olympics. I usually love it! The spectacle, the idea of all the nations sending their best to compete in a friendly contest, the weird-ass sports that we only pretend to care about every four years but they ARE fun to watch in those small doses. Like the McRib of sports, you wouldn't want one all the time, but when McDonald's says they're back, I get one every time!

But I just couldn't stand the sight of empty venues and masked faces. That did not provide the escapism I SO BADLY NEEDED after a year-and-a-half of, well, empty venues and masked faces. And now the NEXT Olympics are gonna be hosted by the country that is increasingly likely to be RESPONSIBLE for the past year-and-a-half that we all lived through. Well... existed through... I wouldn't call any of it LIVING.

Although the stimulus check I got in the spring paid for the new computer I made this on, and the new graphics tablet I worked on part of this with. And I used the one from last spring to set up a weed-growing tent (got nine strawberry diesel plants in there right now in early flower) and get myself a new bed: CALIFORNIA KING, baby! No more feet hanging off the edge (I have a cat, so that's not an option) or squishing myself up to sleep. And it's on a real frame and EVERYTHING! Like a real grownup's bedroom. No more mattress and box spring directly on the floor like a teenager or sad bachelor stereotype!

I wasn't having fun watching the games, USA wasn't doing so great in some of the stuff I love to watch them excel at. I just kinda disengaged and wound up watching very little of it. And my work on this suffered.

Also, I had settled on a leotard and bun hugger shorts months ago as what I wanted for this, I had no idea I was depicting these young women in symbols of female enslavement... according to the media. Because god forbid there's a little bit of sex appeal in sports. These young men and women who perfect physical specimens of the human race-- NOTHING TO SEE THERE!

Feminists just hate everything that is not them: so attractive women displaying sex appeal is TOP OF THE LIST!

Of course, that gymnastics team that made a big fuss didn't even make it out of the qualifying round, so Get Woke Go Broke hit them QUICK!

But now I'm just glad I made this so much more. If it pisses off those upper-middle-class wine mom liberals and their pink-haired beastly daughters, so much the better.

And any right-wingers glad to hear me bashing the MSNBC liberals--- don't. You won't like why I feel that way. Basically it's because they're too much like, well, you: cutthroat capitalists and puritan pearl-clutchers who try to suppress anyone who disagrees with them.
