Lunette can stay in there as long as she likes. He can wait.Early in their partnership, aboard the sentient ship called Kin, Ben and Lunette had a little disagreement. Nothing serious, at least he doesn't think so. She, on the other hand, is just plain pissed off.
The Nia'zin have the ability to alter their shape using the smart metal that comprises the armor and face of their bodies. It often adapts to best suit their needs or reflect how they are feeling. Ben has lovingly dubbed this form "The Pinecone". She will stay locked up like this, and roll around from place to place in this extreme state of pout until she feels better.
This could go on for days. The Nia'zin can really hold a grudge ... well, this one can. But Ben isn't going anywhere ... he's got a great place to put his drink, too.
This is another fun joint project with my husband.

That is really cute, and its kinda nice to see a gentle dispute between the lovers. It goes to show that they are really rather human, and she's closer to her goal then she realizes. Personally I like the fact that he has such patience and is willing to wait out her little pout fest

This had me laughing.I could see this black round crisscrossy thing going around the house,knocking over stuff,spilling his coffee,until he apologized. "The Pinecone"! Ah! love it!
The fact that Ben knows how to weather this, and knows how to handle it shows he is a unique individual to take the time to learn about Lunette and how she does things.
