Quick Information:Character(s): Lotus and Odin
Project: "Lotus"
Tools: Paint Tool Sai, Intuos4
Notes: This was just a doodle to try and get out of my art block, but I used it to experiment with and it looks pretty decent so why not? These two are my favorite OC couple, so they really need more love.
Only took a couple of hours since I just tidied the sketch lines. lol{The scars under his eyes make him look soooo tirrrred LOL}

PoseManiacs doesn't use real humans so I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone who is a beginner. While it has some good features it's not completely accurate because the muscles are just a skin placed upon the 3D characters.

Ah well, true. I wasn't meaning the muscles so much, but the proportions and poses worked well for me. XD
Then again, I wasn't a beginner, just new to studies and referencing.. .I've been drawing off/on since childhood. XD

Nice contrast and impressive use of foreshortening with her arm-- a lot of people have trouble with that but you did a really great job with it. I also really like the line and flow of her hair. Well done.

First off, welcome to deviantART! You've only been here a month, but you're off to a good start!
I like the foreshortening and perspective on her hand. You did a really good job with this. Some artists mess this up really bad (perhaps they don't understand how foreshortening works, I don't know) but you get it, so that's nice. I like her flowing hair, and her bubbly, happy expression. He seems pretty miserable, but I'm guessing that's part of his character. They seem like opposites, and they say opposites attract. The galaxy background is a nice touch and gives a sense of adventure and that there is no limit to what they can do together. I must say say though, for him being so close to chest like that, I'm surprised he's not blushing!

I can clarify a bit as Odin is actually my OC. It's not that he's miserable...he just looks that way sometimes, and with his background (I won't begin to get into it here) it's really not surprising. You are right on the fact that the two are opposites in most ways, they are very opposite; Lotus is very carefree and has a bit of an ego, and while Odin does have a bit of an ego himself, he's very strict and militaristic. As to the lack of blush, the reason is because by the point this picture is done, the two have been married for several years. However at the end of the day, when the clothes come off, it's a bit of a different story, he's blushing then.

Hehe, well, by this point he's been married to her for a good ten years, and with her personality he's used to his face... we'll stop there. He's used to this. LOL
And yes, these opposites work well together. I'm also glad that the space background gave the vibe I wanted it to, though they do a lot of space traveling too.

Yeah, Lotus takes pride in her appearance, though she's more casual about it. No big bag of makeup for her, two tubes and a case with some shades of eyeshadow and she's set for months. LOL
