Replica Stave church in Gol, Norway, and a Viking style wedge tent during a Viking re-enactment. I was jealous that our SCA events don't get this kind of awesome backdrop. I guess if we went to North Dakota they totally could hmm....Related content

Yep XD They don't look like they tar that one tho, which is interesting, makes it a lot lighter than all the authenticy ones. I would still looove to have an SCA event at it. I wonder if the group out there has ever tried.

Society for Creative Anachronism. We do medieval re-creatment <3 I get to hit people with sticks, cause I do heavy armor combat. ... I'm not very good tho, so I guess I get hit more often hahah. I do play against a lot of really good people though.

There's totally a group out there in Fargo/Moorhead. The Shire of Korsvag. I know a professor out there who has been the king of this kingdom ^_-
So if you're interested, check out [link] and [link] [link] this is also a good site. It's really, really fun and there's lots you can do, fighting and otherwise.
Many places have loaner gear so you can try it before investing time/money into making armor. It doesn't cost anything to check it out or play either (unless you want to become a member at some point, I've been playing for over a year now and JUST became a member.)
I HIGHLY SUGGEST IT. (: I know in september coronation is actually going on in Korsvag, so if you wanted to go to an event that has lots of pomp in the court, that'd be the one to go to since new king and queen are being coronated d;
