Description Another acrylic of mine (just bigger than A4 - canvas-paper), this time on a neutral background.
I thought that white on black would look too stark, so I went with a subtle natural look instead. It's been unusualy for me painting this way (actually having to paint in the shadows) but I enjoyed it too.

Wonderful! You did a great job with the fur and the shading. I like the way you combined the blue and yellow hairs to create the 3D effect. it's very hard to draw white animals without giving them a shade of blue or yellow etc, but your drawing looks awesome from this poit of view. The wolf is very realistic and his fur realy looks white. . Besides, the background gives it a nice effect. You chose it very well. Indeed, it wouldn't have been looking as good as it looks if you would have made it black. So, great work !

For the haisr, I have an old chisel-tip brush (about 6mm wide) that is battered and has split bristles. this lends itself well to painting several hairs at once. I then finished it off with a tiny detail brush for the last few hairs... Not the usual approeach, but it works
