Boop! An early birthday gift for , because it's his birthday soon (and the letter arrived at his place already
)! 
Let's throw gifts and cake at him!!Well, I couldn’t resist the awesome inkling design he gave his character Neige… at some point I simply had to draw her and since my markers have collected quite some dust due to my bachelor thesis work taking forever I decided to give them a shot on this one.
I really like how this one came out overall, basically everything turned out like I had it in mind ;w; Still, at some points either my markers or the marker paper acted weird, because I got weird strokes out of nowhere while on other parts it didn't happen at all :shrugs: I fixed those parts with Photoshop though, so I hope they aren't too visible any longer. And yeah... I really love how this one came out, as said before - thus I had a hard time parting from this picture to be honest

Any chance you remember what marker colors you used? ; v ;

hmm... for which part exactly? o^o
My usual skintones are E50 Egg Shell as base, and E00 Skin White for the first layer of Shading. Then I used E33 Sand in addition.
Black is C3, C5 and C7
White Shading is C0, C1 and C2, with C3 for the darkest part
I'm not sure on the rest though >:

hehe, yeah x) No one should miss out the C-Series.
You'd also give the Warm Grey's a chance, because they add in some variation ovo Though I personally prefer to use C5 and C7 for shading black I sometimes switch to W5 and W7, too.
Other shades that work out nicely for coloring blackish and grayish parts are BV23 Grayish Lavender, BV25 Grayish Violet and BV29 Slate. They do have a slight purple-violet touch

Of course I absolutely love it. I stared at it for a long while as soon as I opened the letter in order to savor every bit of it. The process repeats itself every time I get to look at it again.
I already said it on the Facepoot but I really am amazed by the quality of it. I have no idea how you can do that with markers and I have a lot of respect for such traditional art. I can feel that once your start a work you are very devoted to it, Anne. This applies both for your traditional and digital work when you look at it. So much care and attention paid to details every time.
I can't say how much I love it. I am definitely going to frame it as I sure wouldn't want it to get damaged in the slightest :') You can be reassured as it arrived safely, no sign of abuse or anything. And now that it's here I'm gonna make sure that it keeps going this way.

Guess marker illustrations, and traditional art in general, is all about practise aswell - I mean at this point I still have no idea how you do modelling
I actually get distracted easily on digital artworks (like right now, I should be working on my Halloween picture, but instead I'm taking care of my deviantArt messages 
I'm also happy to hear that it arrived savely! Having some trust issues concerning mail delivery services, though they haven't failed me... yet.
With that being said I hope you're having a nice birthday tomorrow ovo any chance you're celebrating at the moment? After all it's rather close to midnight as of now. If so, give a woomy to the crowd from my end ;D

Ein recht interessantes Werk.
Der Characters wirkt recht gelassen und doch aufgeweckt.
Die dunklen Farben werden mit einigen sehr erfrischend-hellen weißen Farbtönen ergänzt,was einen sehr guten Kontrast erzeugt.
Die Details in diesem Bild spiegeln sich vorallem in den gelungenden Licht- und Schatteneffekten wieder.
Zum einen zeigen sie sich auf der Kleidung und den Haaren und lassen sich auch auf dem Glastank der Sprühflasche in Form feiner Lichtflecken nieder.
Alles in allem wirkt das Werk sehr stylisch und elegant mit einer sehr stimmungsvollen Note.

well the colors do look different when you see them at night, I once tired to mkae something for school at night and the final result was diferent to what I expected(I still got a god grade on that but that wasn't what I had in mind...)

yeah, lighting can change and affect quite a lot of things ;A;'' I used to take photos of my traditional drawings years ago because I didn't have a professional scanner, always had to wait for daylight at that time to get a nice shot .3.
