Description
I wanted to do something hisorical-related, so I came up with this portrait inspired by queen Boudica of the Iceni. I usually draw plain inexpressive faces, but this time I tried to show some of her inner strength in her expression.
Blue is the main color in the picture as it was the emblem color of the Iceni in the book series Boudica by Manda Scott. And it makes a wonderful contrast with orange.

It was almost a Greek tragedy when I discovered I dind't have orange nor yellow paint and had to wait to next day to go to the city and buy some new watercolors.
