I don't normally do fanart or create fanart characters, buuuut the the R&C series is something I can't leave alone. .-.I decided to create a mock character based on what little there is to know about the Lombaxes. Alister deserves to live on in the series whether he was an ignorant hardass in Crack in Time or not. So he'll do it vicariously through none other than his father, who could have climbed ranks (whatever those are), in Lombax 'society' despite his son creating the shitstorm years before. And he's got a locket/watch thingy like Alister did...prolly some corny pic inside of family.
Then Ratchet has to deliver the news his son tried to destroy the universe but not really because he beat his ass and then Alister felt bad, played hero and died.
idk. Plus it'd tickle my fancy to see something like this actually happen, or have an elder Lombax play some part in the next installment.
It's a good series, and Insominac better make another game soon...or at least before the PS4 comes screaming into the world demanding your bank account and then some. I've only had the PS3 for a year, dammit.

very interesting take on a lombax. it would be a really cool thing thing to see that happening, but sadly, it looks like insomniac is finished with the 'lombax legacy' part of ratchet's story. too bad, i really wanted more lombaxes to interact.

When I first saw this pic I thought it was like a cross over between a Khajiit (Skyrim) and Alister. >w<
I love the idea of an elder Lombax in the storyline. I'd love to see Ratchet find a way to the dimension with the other Lombaxes, too.
As for another game, they are going to release, Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus, Around New Years and it's for the PS3.

Whoa, that is quite an interesting take on the lombax race. I think you did a very nice job. The fur coloring is spectacular...
And yeah, I agree about Alister. When he supposedly killed Ratchet, while I was shocked he did that, I didn't instantly hate him. It just made me think that depression really messed with his actions and I felt bad for him. At least he tried to right his wrong. I really like and respect Alister. So I understand where you are going with it.

Yeah, I bit my lip when Alister made that move. He was more or less blinded by his ambitions of 'setting things right' and probably didn't do it out of hatred...just blindness. His goal was so close. Kinda sad that he could have been more than what he was (say travel with Ratchet to the dimension the Lombaxes currently reside.) I'm sure he would have been forgiven but oh well. :c

Yeah. I wish they didn't kill him off... He could've been a new father figure for Ratchet or at least until he helped him explore the Lombax Dimension. But Alister will always be my personal favorite character of A Crack in Time with Lord Vorselon trailing behind (he was adorable <3) Haha

That is awesome. Cool to see a bit more of a realistically styled Lombax. Now to hope they do really make another Ratchet and Clank that isn't basically a minigame. This year is slated for Insomniac's new series co-op game, but maybe next year.

Maybe Insominac should just combine the multiplayer option into the full length game (sorta like Red Dead Redemtion, you go online when you feel like it or continue with the game's storyline, and that was a fairly large sandbox game.) I'm a little impatient I suppose.
Lets hope for another full length game before the PS4 comes out, I sure am. D8

I often find silly renditions of the poor things with emo hair on the head (which Insominac has NEVER done, so renders those characters non canon already.) I'm glad I was able to stay in line with their appearance (somewhat at least.)

Compared to Talwyn, he actually caused some damage during those tag team missions... and speaking of Talwyn, do they need to kick her out of the franchise or what?
She's useless during tag team missions, she ends up getting trapped/imprisoned constantly and overall she's just plain boring DX! If only Insomniac games would bring back Angela (along with the whole plot point about Lombaxes and their dimension), I'd be most grateful.
Those amber eyes... they're so pretty! It would be cool to see him in a full length portrait, wearing some badass battle armor.

I'll spill beans here and admit I don't care for Talwyn. She seemed so out of place and was only there to give orders. When she came on screen there was nothing I could do but sigh because she's just mouthing off instructions or have excuses why she can't be somewhere or do something.
I have no idea what happened to her either...maybe she died offscreen or something lol! I don't remember too much about Angela other than disappearing after Commando. Hopefully the next game for the core series answers these questions and then some.

Indeed, that was the feeling that I got as well. My thoughts went something like this "Agh, is this the ONLY thing you're good at? Bossing others around? Instead of always telling ME what to do, why don't you go and spend some of that energy of yours for battle training? You know, so that I wouldn't have to save you AGAIN or get my hide tanned because of your pathetic fighting skills? Better yet, get yourself a new weapon while you're at it, that current one is even weaker than all the Gadgetron weapons in R&C 2!! And those downright SUCKED, aside from Visibomb gun!!"
I really love the fact that in "Quest for Booty", you can actually abandon Talwyn into a cave as the whole thing starts collapsing down! Later, when she returned on her own and sarcastically remarked "Thanks for saving me. Now I know how Clank must feel." I commented "No madam, I'd never leave Clank behind. He's actually very likable (as well as useful), something that you'll never be."
Unfortunately, TJ Fixman, one of the writers for RC PS3 games said that "I think it's safe to say that Talwyn is Ratchet's girfriend." Not surprisingly, he's the one who also wrote the RC comic series which has plenty of hints that those two have something going on between them T_T. Hopefully she gets the same treatment as Sasha: just push her away from the series altogether by the time the next major instalment game comes out.
According to R&C-wiki, Max Apogee (Talwyn's father) helped Angela escape from Emperor Tachyon. Together, the two of them fled to the Lombax dimension. At some point, she had also paid a visit to Ratchet and told him that she wished she could have another adventure with him. That last tidbit about her visit is apparently mentioned in The RC trilogy instruction manual while you can actually spot multiple references about her in Crack in time.

Aw Insomniac... I follow them from Spyro the dragon ♥ They make awesome games! I played the whole series of R&C since playstation 2 so ^^ And even Resistance, game ps3 as they did (which is awesome of course XD) But R&C is my favourite <33

You play ratchet deadlocked or gladiator? I beat it about 50 or more times, enough to get about.... 100 million bolts methinks... I'm unsure however xD

The friend in my life who's forever the devil on my shoulder has been telling me for an eternity that I'd love these games, but I've never played them. This... kind of has me glancing her way and wanting to give in to the pestering. It does sound like a neat story. >>

If you ever get the time to play through the games, do it. o: I've loved the core series so far. There are a few PSP games and such I haven't gotten, but I watch those on YT to see if I missed anything important.
It's one of the few platformer games left, and for good reason. It's a fun blast em' up game with lots of action. Plus you play a critter who looks like a cat. :'D
