A lot's been going on with Tom and Ryanna during the Emerald Masquerade so I thought I'd squeeze in a snippet of Gwen's side of things--

Which is basically, she was cruising along obliviously and nicely and insensitively like she always does, only this time Tom finally exploded at her over what a genuine burden and annoyance she was. And, well, nothing he said was wrong, really, and it's not the first time Gwen's heard some iteration of those things thrown at her, but she's never minded before. She's not supposed to mind, because what does it matter what someone else thinks of her?

She minds this time. Possibly for the first time in her life, and it leaves her at a loss for words.

She doesn't say the right things to Tom and doesn't follow him when he leaves. Trying to brush it off in her usual way, she drifts back to the ball, but soon finds she can't stop thinking about it. She plays the fight over and over in her head, stewing on it increasingly, with still no idea how to react.

It will take some time for Gwen to realise she's upset, and yet more time to figure out what she's like when she's upset. Because she sure as hell doesn't know.

So yes, the left picture is Gwen happily going around pre-fight and the right one is straight after. _(:3」∠ )l_ Also yeah, the blue-dyed ends of her hair have grown out so she's snipped them off!
