I tell you, J, I´ve tried a lot with all apertures and different light conditions. f/4 on this 50 is the best (2 to 8/10 meters, the distance I shot. I simply love it...

Damn this is late I agree with you Nuno,tested it a lot on F4 on my last trip to London and it worked very well...till it broke when I got back

I believe to be a good ratio between focus/lens sharpness/shutter speed.

Check my last journal,mentioned it then,missed it so much I bought a 50mm F1.8 today....not spending £300 for a lens to only last 2 years

I´m so pleased with my 1.8...
Of course, compared with light, aperture, blah blah... Of course 1.4 is what it is. Excellent. Not going there.
But how many shots at f/1.4 exist in your body of work?... And the sweet spot is not even at 1.4 or 1.8 or 2...

First impressions seem very favourable too.
I mean,it feels like it fell out of a children Xmas cracker but you can`t argue with the results for such a cheap lens.

1.4 in my body of work here? Zero Nuno,don`t think I`ve subbed any 50mm shots here...took loads of course,just kept them for myself for now and maybe have put some on the FB Group in the past,that`s all
