Description This is for a mini art contest in to 'draw these photos', I chose the photo of Lorikeets by
These are great birds to practice with my new coloured ball point pen set Hope you like it. Took me about 2.5 hours.

You did this with pen? Wow! How'd you do the highlights? (reduce the strokes, likely, but still! XD) Great job on it.

yeah, you just have to work around the highlights, and make the shadows dark. It's a lot more forgiving of mistakes than you might think, especially if you start lightly and gradually darken it (well, I say gradually, it doesn't take me very long). You find that earlier mistakes just end up blending in.
