Maybe the second stage could have been a shoe lace style knot, it's fine it just that it looks more like an adult of the first stage instead of evolved from it granted a lot of pokemon are like that but those are usually living creature based.

Hmm, I really feel these are almost a little too physically abstract... while at the same time literal. For one thing, as has been stated, the eyes seem to just be glued on the knot, and unlike the previous stages don't really incorporate the design much at all. What if it had three eyes, each of which floating between it's loops?

there was supposed to be four eyes, then i made only two of them since they didn't come out good. please not mention their eyes anymore...i promise i'll fix this.

That guys does knot seem amused.
The eyes on the final stage could use some work, though. I don't like how they aren't between or hidden behind the rope.

me neither. i tried to adjust the eyes into the rope, but the knot's structure is not very suited. i'm looking up for some other knots to model on, may edit the pic someday.

I personally like the simplicity of them. Kind of reminds me of when Pokemon had more simpler designs.
