I didn't know the puffins were like little ducks and they could swim. It is silly from me. I should have imagined it watching their feet. It must be a amazing spectacle to see.Β

They actually live most of their lives in the middle of the ocean so are very comfortable in the water. The only reason they set foot on land is to breed. They will lay one egg a year and will pair up for life. We are very lucky they choose to come here, the island I go to see them on has no land predators so is about a safe environment as they can get. They bring up ther puffling (great name that) in a burrow similar to a rabbits
