Beautiful bird, such soulful eyes, amazing shot Craig!  

I was reading about these today and you probably know 
this but i'll say just in case you don't.
There wings beat 400 times per minute and they
can fly upto 55 miles per hour. Bit of useless
information for you

Thank you Kay, they are certainly good for your soul watching them. I like that kind of information so thanks for sharing. I've heard they sometimes have to go very long distances to find food when breeding, with the state of the seas it is a very worrying future for the sea birds. I always find it amazing theat they live most their lives in the middle of the ocean.

Yes it is very worrying the state of the sea,
well the state of the planet really, it is all so sad
to see!!! I am a member and donate monthly to the RSPB so i get
e-mails to let me know what the birds are upto
at the moment! They do some amazing things for our
feathered friends!!

Yeah people do go to extrordinary lengths to try and help nature, hopefully get more farmers involved as I think that could be a huge thing.
