Description This piece was done for the creature of the week #197, a dream protector. May color it in the future, hopefully.

The Ateli are nobel creatures, first discovered by the native americans through spirit journeys and rituals. These creatures protect populated areas from the negative aspects of the dream world, breaking up the dream surges with their massive physical and spiritual power, and keeping the people in their territory safe. The creatures seem to bear many resemblances to native american spiritual guides such as the wolf, bear, and deer, culturing further belief in these animals supernatural connections.

I had one save me in a dream last night itwas a giant wolf like creature that was so huge and amazing it wokeme up from my nightmare and took a demon down too. It flew and I tried to grab it's tail but I was to afraid to quite get it.The dream was so real I had to research it and this is what I found also another guy drew something quite similar. Freaky huh

Hadn't made that connection, but it totally makes sense. That movie was amazing too, great stuff.

Well I guess that's what happens to the love child of a wolf and a bear.
