There is nothing that my resident mechanic girl and aspiring rocker girl Jacklin Tull loves more than to pound out some super sexy beats. And this summer, she gets to do that...her way. [cue massive drum fill]

Considering that the stories which I've been developing for years now are largely musical in scope, I have been meaning to realize pictures of my characters actually performing, not just merely holding instruments or anything used to play them. Given the recent time I've spent developing one of the newer members in my roster, it was only natural that Jackie be the first to get such a pic. It was equally only natural that her alternate bikini-top-and-denim-skirt outfit (which I absolutely adore on her and which will never get old on her, ever ) would be her performance outfit of choice for tonight's show. Would that make this a technical Beach Series pic? Never say never!

I must admit a lot of the choices I made to enhance the setting and fill out the background were relatively last-minute additions, but on the other hand there's something so incredibly right about this sexy coyena having a 36" [note: size is approximate] tam-tam to strike when the moment is right. (No word on where she got that idea from... ) Another last-minute addition was the in-ear monitor because, being easily distracted as she can be, Jacklin often can't perform without a click track.

And last but not least, I spent hours working on the lighting for this one but since I could not ultimately decide, I created two versions: one with "normal" lighting and another in which she's in the spotlight treating her audience with a heart-pounding—if not heart-stopping—drum solo. Either way, you win.

I'm BEYOND happy with how this turned out. It's truly amazing to see how far a character who didn't even exist at this time two years ago has come, and she's only just begun.
