"Ladies and gentlemen...The Arsenal!"

It had been ages since Dagger Branson had performed on a proper stage in any capacity. In the last band he was in, when one of his bandmates passed out on the drums near the end of what would ultimately become their last show, he managed to salvage the set by switching instruments. Punctuated by firing off an impromptu elongated solo, his instinctive move opened up a new world of possibilities in the process. And yet the only way that the talented multi-instrumentalist was able to take full advantage of these possibilities was by self-producing plenty of songs in his home studio, which he had put together in the abode that he shared with his closest friend and confidant, Exo Moreno.
Many years later, after reuniting with his now-reformed bandmate and helping to form a new group composed of industry veterans, aspiring newcomers, and those in between; and after months of figuring out his own place within the band, it was time to take the stage for real once more...

I've been intending to increase the amount of art I create lately, especially as I seem to be fighting a severe lack of time and motivation more than usual lately. Part of my new M.O. is sketching more scenarios with the intent of eventually getting back to and finishing as full pieces. Sometimes, however, I adore the pieces I create so much that I just can't help but finish them immediately, and that was the case here.
On a side note: The onstage equipment is, believe it or not, only part of what is ultimately going to comprise what The Arsenal will become (and definitely not because I got to a point where I just didn't want to keep drawing numerous pieces in meticulous detail—which is the only way to go for me, haha!). If you know of real-life rock groups such as The Allman Brothers Band, you might have a general idea of the direction this fictional band will take. And oddly enough, the background was intended to be much different and much simpler, but I didn't like how it turned out at first and thus completely redid it to be much more dramatic and ethereal. I spent enough time on the fog and lighting effects as usual, after all.

Either way, I like the end result A LOT. And I wanted to show off in some way or another some of the other instruments which Dags can play since his last appearance in this gallery . Where will our resident musical cowboy go next? Only upward from here, I'd say!
