Opal and Azaelle are something of an ultimate double team for those who know these two gorgeous stunners. So, naturally, being able to draw them both together is more than just a mere honor and privilege—especially when they're rocking their signature dresses!

While it wasn't the intent at first given I struggled for a week on background ideas to go with these stylish attires, I also managed to further conceptualize the aesthetics of the NextGeniverse and especially its flagship story, City Tails, with this pic. Somehow, I managed to mesh classic Deco styles of the early-to-mid-20th century with more 1980s postmodern-esque glass blocks and neon (inspired partly by edifices in the long-defunct Earl Carroll Theatre in Hollywood, itself a Streamline Moderne structure), providing a slightly futuristic edge. The NXGV, after all, is something of a retrofuturist alternate universe seamlessly blending past and future in design, music, fashion, and technology—although most importantly, it is a world comprising both humans and anthros, who for the most part tend to get along well with each other. And I certainly hope that would be the case, if they manage to see these two in the wild having fun!

Speaking of fun, though, this was plenty thereof—and I hope to do it again before too long.
