Well, I thought about suggesting Baba Yaga because Koschei's Slavic origins did remind me of this hag, somehow - but you did it! :'D Would say that this Baba Yaga is much more fashionable than your average witch - with her riding a mortar instead of a flying broom. Oh, and I can see a nice little touch in this piece. x)

Hehe, and speaking of Timun Mas... you captured Buto Ijo well - he's immediately recognisable in your WIP sketch. BTW just noticed (after all these years) that the things Timun Mas throw (i.e. salt, chili peppers, and terasi) make for good sambal sauce, which in turn can be combined with raw sliced cukes to make a great side dish. 8D

Let's say that one twist made the Beast look much more friendlier! It's like he'd purr whenever something pleases him.
Yeah, that's deffo possible... and that's quite a shame because frankly magical sambal sounds delicious. Oh well! Guess they did not only make a deal with a human eater or lessay', ehm, a 'humanitarian' - he's also a total party pooper!

Sait Baba Yagan kulkuneuvonkin näyttämään aivan loogiselta!
(Ja Kaunottarella ja Hirviöllä on miljoona miljoona ruusua! 
Hurmakan näköinen tuo jaavalainen satu, yritin ensin vain kuvasta katsomalla hahmottaa mikä satu on kyseessä, mutta enhän mää tuota tunne. Kuvassa näkyisi kuitenkin olevan paikallisväriä kun sen voisi johonkin Kaakkois-Aasiaan sijoittaa, ehkä se johtuu tuosta hirviöstä (?).
Ja yhä vain näissä on kaikkia kivoja yksityiskohtia, loppukiriväsymystä ei ainakaan näistä näy!

Minäkään en ollut kuullut Kultaisesta kurkusta aiemmin, sitä olikin mielenkiintoista työstää! Yritin tosiaan pistää "paikallisväriä" kuvaan - ja kyllä, otin tuohon jättiläiseen hieman mallia kaakkois-aasialaisista hirviöistä, naamareista, jne.

No tuossa kuvassa lentävä huhmare näyttää suhteellisen loogiselta eikä siltä että se on jonkin epämääräisen unihoureen tuotos!
