That IS amazing, but any time I've ever considered doing it myself, I always get so stressed out thinking of how intensely I'd have to be playing games. And you know me, I'm not all that great at them to begin with, so it would take training and discipline, and I don't think that's something I can cope with!
That guy is a hero, though, for sure. xD

I don't know how much you know about Major League Gaming; I don't know much, but at least in Korea, it's called E-sports (… I think) and it's seriously big business. Lots of money is made on broadcasting and ticket sales, so it's a serious enough thing for professional gamers to be booked for Korean variety shows along side K-pop idols, actors, etc. and be paid to endorse things for T.V. commercials. Anyway, I just heard from Korean news that China is buying up South Korean professional gamers to get them to join their teams. Wouldn't it be interesting to see E-sports gain attention in the U.S.?

I know a little about MLG, but not too much. xD I would love for it to become that popular here, though!!! I'm surprised it hasn't, but I guess gaming isn't as prominent now as it was maybe 5 years ago. I dunno. It's all about little iPhone games now, it seems. x3

I don't think phone games replaced anything in gaming. Was Major League Gaming ever big here? Several thousand people showing up to an infrequent venue isn't that much when you consider the amount of people and space America has. My high school had several thousand students, and that was just when I was attending it (it was growing by the year).
I don't know if I undersold how seriously Asia takes playing video games (both the good and the bad), but you should listen to this English video! It starts with the bad; things you may not like to hear (but may find funny), but these folks who are living in South Korea get around to talking about how professional gamers in South Korea are treated like kings. Pro gamers make more money than most music stars in South Korea and I think this "E-sports" is comparable to sports in South Korea; maybe beyond sports.

MLG may be getting bigger lately, but you're right, it's never been huge, and not NEARLY as huge as it is in Korea especially. I feel like Korea even destroys Japan in their ways of taking video games seriously, which is saying something.
xD These laws governing gaming in Korea may sound terrible to us...but they kind of make sense, considering how gaming that hardcore CAN go wrong (and all the cases I've heard of "intense gaming gone wrong" are from Korea!). I guess, as much as I don't like to admit it, you can cause a lot of harm to yourself focusing too hard on video games (or anything, really), so if as a society, Korea tends to take gaming as seriously as they do, they might need to do SOMETHING to keep people from harming themselves, similar to the way we regulate things like drugs and alcohol. They're really making that poor man's life terrible, though. xD
I sort of believe that every human being should have the right to ruin their own lives if they want to, but since they SO OFTEN bring other people down with them (financially, emotionally, etc), I do understand why such laws exist. Extending them to video games...well, to me it sounds a bit extreme, but I HAVE heard of Korean MMORPG players passing out (or worse) from lack of sleep or nutrition, so if that's happening a lot...I really can't blame them for taking some type of action.
I'm ssssoooooo glad those kind of laws don't exist here, though.

I finally watched the match/rounds and you were good at playing defensively; so many Blocks! You needed to be more aggressive, though! You gotta Tackle more. The two of you theoretically had better teamwork, judging by your cumulative Assists. (I like analyzing stats.) The second round was intense with the comebacks and that series of struggling counters/temporary stalemate! I actually like seeing things like that; when competitors are so evenly matched that for a while, no one gains any ground (I especially like this in Smash Bros.).
