A render is an thing in an image that you take out of the image (or rid of the background) so that you can easily use the piece of the image without having to edit it all the time. I make Yu-Gi-Oh renders by finding scans or really good pictures of the character and masking it out of the picture. I DO NOT ACTUALLY CREATE THE IMAGE. Just want to clear that up~
