i find it odd that the prototype (which is what his name stands for- he's the incomplete, flawed version) is somehow more badass and stronger than the complete version (Megaman). maybe the prototype part is his morals and emotions?

whats prototype about him is how vast his mind is. He has limitless emotions and a strong will.
Megaman has much of the same but not as mature. As Megaman has the AI age of a kid. Protoman has that of a young adult.

his name is blues officially. in america, they renamed him protoman becuase he was made before megaman. solely that. Blues is a more deeper brother of Rock. *referring to the music genres*

ah, right. i forgot all about the musical connotations. humorously, it's the exact opposite in Bass and Treble's cases. they were originally called Forte and Gospel (the latter is kept in MMBN2 though) but they were changed to Bass and Treble in america to match the musical theme that they ironically abandoned.
