Description
This is a commission forΒ of an OC called Lea Vivienne. This plays off of the original white, empire waistline dress she wears and turns it into a dress inspired by Renaissance art of classic Greco-Roman scenes. Some Egyptian motifs such as lapis lazuli-laid gold pieces are used as well.asked me to do two outfits for her character, but I think now this will count as doing three~ unless ifΒ likes this one enough to have one of the other commissions feature it (but this isn't very adventurer-like, or is it?)

Wow! I really, really like this outfit! And the details, as the brocade, the jewels, I love it! Drawing like these inspire to try and have more patience and details in my outfits--I'm rather impatient and tend to leave the clothes' fine details behind.
And since I'm a butterfly-lover, I'd love to have that hairpin. it IS called hairpin? or what was its name D: otl

The hairpin is ivory framed in gold with highly-polished blue and green glass/quartz. I suppose it's technically a hairclip buuuuuut Meh. Semantics. XD It goes in your hair and makes you look shiny. That's all that matters, right? o 3o

Besides the fact that the color transition is unbelievably smooth and linear in my opinion...actually pretty much all of your coloring is pretty linear.Β
I'm honestly surprised that similar to Bezzalair these days, you don't seem to push so much for a lot of contrast, but rather, you appear to focus on making the colors fit and blend so well that you don't really need lots of contrasts to pull out such a well executed picture.Β Obviously, you have quite the eye and expertise for color.Β Honestly, I find the concept of that technique alone (much less to execute it so well), to be quite astounding and creative!Β Successfully executing such a coloring style that you seemed to have mastered is certainly not my forte, but this piece alone, inspires me to try.Β
Truly an elegant piece to fit such an elegant outfit!Β

Well, I'm not that great at contrast. XD; It just doesn't go with me. I don't like to shock my eyes with it so I tend to not work with it. o vo;
I've far from mastered this coloring style though. Every time I do it, I do something different. It can be really annoying. You're welcome to join me and my frustrations though. 8D More the merrier.
