Although not very flashy, by taking in a deep breath Akamori is able to boost their physical strength for short periods of time, about as long as their breath lasts. Akamori learned this technique from their former caretaker, a mythic mercenary named Yuuma.

Using this it outclasses what she can usually manage with her small frame in order to help with heavy lifting or the chopping and transporting of bamboo that comes with carpentry work. On the downside, the use of this magic is quite draining and causes her to have to eat and sleep a lot as a result.

Akamori is nothing short of a rather strange girl, full of quirky and odd habits. It’s hard to ever see what’s going on inside that thick skull of hers and usually expressionless face. The only way that most can read her are through those big round red eyes but even that takes practice. So it’s hard to know what she’s ever thinking, or if she really thinks at all.
After all, aside from being generally quiet She says and does things very bluntly and honestly, sometimes too honest. Though nearly always on impulse. She doesn’t bother with pretenses or manipulation given that it takes a bit too much effort and well she could never purposefully hurt a fly being a pacifist and all. But with all that said she is quite responsible and does her work and job diligently if not anything else.
That honest and strange demeanor of hers paired with a friendly if not too needy temperament makes her a somewhat endearing blend of you don’t mind indulging in a fluffy, short, yet brutishly strong red panda who will clean out your food reserves if you feed her and sleeps quite a bit.

History
It was a rainy early spring morning with the melting of winter snow when a hakutaku mythic traveling mercenary came across a crying little girl covered in dirt and grime nearly frozen to death roughly 9 years old and lacking in any memories. Parents killed in some horrific accident she could neither recall or wanted to remember, though the frequency of rain and melting snow and the saturation of the soft soil on the mountaintop told the hakutaku all he needed to know, taking the small trembling red panda into his arms as far as Akamori cared to know it was with the warm hand of Yuuma cleaning off her cheek of mud that she was born.

Her life from there was far from a tragic one. Yuuma granting her the name Akamori and taking her under his care. Meaning to train her for mercenary work though such would never happen. She showed a very strong avoidance to violence from the beginning, lacking in the willpower to hurt anything but aside from that she wasn’t very well suited for that type of work either, being rather weak in childhood both in health and strength. She instead dedicated her time to woodworking. One of the only skills she seemed to be proficient and had an interest in from the start, possibly hailing from a family of carpenters before ever meeting Yuuma. She was able to sell her crafts and offer repair services to towns they would frequently pass by to help.

But Akamori had always been a bit weak-bodied and though she would slowly improve over the years perhaps Yuuma's concern for her was why he taught her the physical enhancement magic meant to make her body stronger. Magic taught through a series of training over the years that she did eventually learn, though it lasted only for short periods of time. Even so, it assisted Akamori in her carpentry work allowing her to take bigger jobs without his worries. Though the drawback of needing sleep and food would often run his wallet dry.

Her life continued like this until eventually,the two settled down when she turned 18 in Momoki Machi, Akamori traveling between there and the Takemori for work while Yuuma often left home for short mercenary requests, albeit close to her turning 20, he left for good, perhaps he had grown tired of caring for her and her still clingy attitude or maybe he missed his travels, or it was something else having only left her a note bidding her farewell and that he loved her. In any case, she found herself alone but being grown, she continued at her hard work making bamboo crafts.
