PokΓ©dex Entry: Peculiar to just about any trainer that first lays eyes on it. It has a mammalian body yet bird like beak and feet. They stay afloat thanks to its tail which is usually filled with air(when on land), or water. As it cant keep its balance to well on land, it sucks up enough water for it to stableize
Design Origins: I thought I had the only platypus pokemon..but, it isnt the case. Its more of a kappa platipus really. The name comes from Splash and Platipus
Why you designed it: Hm..well, there wasnt a MAMMAL water type, so ..here ya go.
The same for Budoat, no mammal grass type.

and i love this fakemon, but if it were to be accurate to real life, it would have to be water/electric/poison, kind of uber isn't?

electric? How so? I get the poison, that one is because the males have poisonious spers on the back of their legs, but how would it have electric?

platypus have the ability to generate an electromagnetic field around their bodies to aid them in sensing their surroundings, in rare cases, they can use it to stun predators/prey. they also use echolocation, and are one of the fastest swimming animals in Australia.
