Hmm, organic machinery again. Interesting that the city far below looks much less personal than the bird, perhaps it's happier up there. Great job, as always.

Reminds me of the Great Condor from "The Mysterious Cities of Gold". Or coming in to land in Boston whilst I was half asleep, crossing the atlantic can be really trippy.

I got the idea flying from Sydney to London. And yes, Cities of Gold; man I haven't seen that in ages, it's probably not at all what I remember.

I remember jumping between the bunkbeds and the bed excited after watching it. Think it's high up there in my top shows I watched as a child. Haven't seen it since it first aired here and think I may not want to.

Yeah, I remember it having a sort of magic about it. Watching it now would probably completely ruin it.

love the artist's comment. also i really think it looks great as a smaller image, and for some reason looses a lot of its greatness when in full-view mode. just imo.

I really like the thoughtful, lonely mood you created.
It makes me think if it's possible that the day we manage to create an absolute artificial intelligence might bring a great change. Not necessarily like in terminator, that machines will try to kill us, but maybe they will form their own oppinion on humanity, and chose to leave us... just like this one.

Wow, you actually figured out what it's about. Thanks for the thoughts.

Sometimes my head does work the way I'd like it to. Do NOT get used to that!

Is it based on a constelation? Looks cool.

The SR-71 Blackbirds are no longer in service. It sucks. The were the coolest jets. They keep a few in hangers in case they ever need them. I know cuz of my job.

I very like the idea of a parallel between the plane and a bird Personnaly i would have put a different angle for the head, i can understand the idea of observing earth but i would prefer to see the bird looking the sky to reach space Very nice work

Just words that popped into my mind: Warm, elegant, and aloof.

The dotted line effect is very Erte, at first, but the cleverness of using it for definition of form, physical details of lights on the figure and city, and the stars altogether make it very unified in a natural way. The more I look at it the more I like it. Simply, unartistically put, I think it's very lovely.

Even if it was so inartistically put, thank you for such a thoughtful comment.

Elegant. Once again, the Blackbird development team was decades ahead of its time.
