Just as long as it's people who make the machines... That means that our brains are still responsible for the music. Beautiful, and thanks for sharing!

What if machines make the machines? What if the machines weren't built to make music?

Some music is made by machines right now. They just pump out up-beat crap to disguise the fact that in the back of people's minds, depression is growing. Or something equally undesirable...
Aaanyway, this is a great piece of art. The tiny details on the clothing are amazing, the colours are wonderful. It is simple in one way, and complicated in another. I enjoyed looking at your other stuff as well, it's so different from the usual. Excellent work.

One day they'll be better than us. One day they'll be making vectors of themselves. One day. Or possibly two or three.

Will we? I'm not so sure. People don't live long. One is quickly swept up in the rapid river that is life and years go by as though they were drops of water still shining in the sun as they are tossed by the rocks. Perhaps they or we will be too enthralled by this to make our own music, or spread our knowledge into shapes that one can look at or read about later.
I hope I'm lying.

Hmm. I don't know that machines will ever be able to produce music the way people can: music is emotion, a quality machines do not have. But the work itself is good: I like subtly seeing the fiddler's inner workings. Thought provoking.

We will never really know if machines can experience emotion. I don't really see why not.

Beautiful! But can I nit pick? Her bow hand stinks. Otherwise this is superb. Being interested in Luthierie as I am I can't help but be impressed by this and I'd love to try carving a scroll like that, i.e. backwards.

Yeah you're right. But right now I'd rather work on new stuff than rework old stuff.

I understand completely. And there's no reason to rework it because it works as it is. I just happened to notice the bad bow hand because I play. And the backward scroll is perfect stylistically since it echos the other scollies.

The colours added to the simplistic design give a sense of warmth, and yet there's the perfect amount of detail to balance it.
