Okay, so it's some kind of warmblood with a weird dun/buckskin colour. Why? Because I'm in a major art slump and I wanted to try something new. It didn't work.Done on Adobe Photoshop CS. Clocked at 2.5 hours.

Like everyone else, I love the color. seriously though? I've seen a horse shine like that in the sunlight. It's such an awesome look, the sun in the right position, usually happens when the horse has been running a lot in pasture. Last time I saw that particular glow, it was on several horses, colors running froma deep reddish brown to a golden blonde. Mm.. you should see the way the sun highlights that rich dark russett. I think it looks better than the paler colors, myself. I'd ride it. after I brushed, curried and let it rest, of course. And likely hugged it a few times.

I agree; warm highlights look best on dark colours. My horse is a nice midtone bay with heavy red overtones, and he looks absolutely sexy after he's been running around for awhile, is brushed, and is put in strong lighting. I just love it. X3 I guess it's that look that I try to bring out in my style, sometimes. x_x
