Since yours is a butler and my Archimedes was once owned by a wealthy family, perhaps they one knew each other~!
I figure they were once acquaintances, but Arc is now a grinch and hates everything/everyone.

Oh my GOODNESS your Grem is beautiful! Oh I'd love for them to have once known eachother! Edmund's story is still getting worked on but he's def owned by a wealthy family right now. Maybe the families were friends and so they'd see each other at gatherings!

I feel for sure that Archimedes and Edmund once knew each other, perhaps were even well acquainted and were friends. Archimedes' owners used to throw lavish parties and get-togethers with other people of high standard. He'd spend time with human and grem alike at these get-togethers. However, when he was abandoned, he grew cold and distant towards anyone and everyone. If the two were ever to run into one another again, Arc would most likely choose not to be chummy with Edmund again - not that it's Edmund's fault, Arc has just lost joy and confidence in others.
