There lace brush patterns I found on the internet 10-15 years ago or you can download lace pattern picture from google and turn them into brushes using Photoshop. Once you do that the rest was warping, inverting and scaling.

By the way I'm also a happily married man to a beautiful hispanic woman and we have one daughter. Boy your really learning allot about me today. Now I have a head ache from laughing so much.
