Description So This is Old Faithful. Its a Geyser in Yellowstone National Park. Its one of the US's Most Famous land Marks.. People from all over the world travel to see this Geyser blow every 45 to 120 minutes. My Wait was only about 15 minutes. and it last all of about 45 seconds. Its one of the Tallest Geysers in the US.. there is on on site that is much higher but not as predictable.. I have a feeling this one is on a switch and they have been fooling the world for years..

I really like how the steam fuses with the clouds.

If you put it that way, Yellowstone be trolling

Cool! Must have elbowed your way to the front railing for this one Seeing this inspired me to dig out some old film (point and shoot type) shots I took several years ago. Yours are much better

i do agree with you - being on a switch - otherwise if it was dormant nobody would come - and that means no $
behind this is beehive geyser which is awesome to witness !

yeah ! thanks to the yellowstone fires (1988) the first few years there was a lot of snags still standing, bit over the years most fell and opened up a better view, but before to long though the new growth of lodgepole pine will hide the view

There it is! I was hoping a shot or two of Old Faithful would show up sooner or later

Did you manage to get around and see the Grand Prismatic while at Yellowstone?

Nice shot. How long have you been using the D7000? You liking it? I got mine almost 2 months ago and love it so far.

Thanks Jess! I only used it that week.. It was a Friend Of mine's I took it and my D90. Have been wanting to upgrade and just haven't saved the money yet but wanted to shoot it and I'm very Very Very Happy with it! But after shooting with it and my D90 I want to keep my 90 and get the 7000 as well. It was so much nicer Having both to shoot with.. Loaded one up with the Wide and One with the Long range and never missed a moment..

Oh yeah, having two cameras helps so much. I still have my first dslr (d3000), which is awful in comparison, and I still use it from time to time. Indoors and low light its pretty much useless but outside it still does a pretty good job. I agree, its much nicer not having to change lenses at all. Have you seen the double Black Rapid camera straps? Way too expensive for me but it would be really nice to have if you are shooting a wedding or something and need quick access to both cameras. I just had to have both straps around my neck and look like an idiot but it works, lol.

That's Pretty bad ass! I dont know how often i would use two cameras but I know that trip it was really nice to have and that strap would have been killer!
