Description This was taken at the base of Lower Falls in Yellowstone. It was a 1 mile hike down about 800 feet. Needless to say the walk back up was not an easy one

The Falls are behind me in this shot and this is Yellowstones version of the Grand Canyon with the Yellowstone River Running through it! The Risk of walking through this canyon to see the amazing Sky Open up as is does in this shot it what makes it all so Beautiful!

We have some Beautiful National Parks here in the States. This was my first trip to This one and I live very Close to Yosemite so I go there Often. Think glacier national park will be my Next one.. That one is going to be GREAT!

LOL! But I bet the way down was much better! I said that when we went to BC - we hiked our asses off every day and I said "holy shit - if we lived here and did this all the time I'd be skinny!!!"

The way down was very nice except every step i took i knew i had to take coming back up lol.. but It was worth it..

This is a wonderful picture! I've been there, but I never had the time or the energy to hike down.

One nitpick...the river here at the bottom of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is the Yellowstone River. It runs from Yellowstone park north and east to the Missouri. The Snake River runs west from Yellowstone Park past the Tetons and eventually runs into the Columbia and thus to the Pacific ocean.

Thanks Jonny! Your Right it does have the look to it.. I remember watching those Moves with my Grandma! Maybe I should Try it out in Black and White and see what it look likes!

That sounds like one hell of a hike. I think one day I have to do that. Great capture though. It makes you feel almost as if you're flying! Love the color and depth!
